Recommendations on a plug and play foglight bulb

Looking to go with a yellow fog to spice up the front end a bit during the night.

Researched and found the Nokya Foglamp bulbs in yellow for around $19 shipped. Hear they work well. Came across some LED yellow ebay ones for around $10 shipped from China. Any luck with those?

Lol says 4500k but 4500k is not yellow.

Curious what you guys who do the plug an play lights (Non HID) and what luck you have had with H8 yellow bulbs. So many different brands.

What are you doing that requires "splicing"?
I'd go with the Nokya yellow ones. They are great for the price and "yellow" enough.
Also, I wouldn't trust the pics advertised on ebay. 4500K is as you said, NOT yellow. So stick with the description. Even those some bulbs say 3000K (or even 2500K) I've had some that were barely yellow in my previous cars. I go by amazon's pics from actually buyers, they are the most accurate from my experience.

I installed the "Accord Inspire" foglights that require H8 foglights on my TL.
I went with these fog lights
Amazon Amazon
Two reasons i went with those. 1. They are pretty bright and "yellow". and 2. They are LED, so they have less heat output.

thanks for the reply

Never mentioned the word splicing?
Talking about my plug and play comment?

those DunGu ones look nice. Might get those over the Nokya due to only being 7w as opposed to the 35w factory. Being LED they should last longer too. Justify the $11 price difference?

Ha totally my bad, I read SPICE as SPLICING lol. My morning coffee has apparently warn off.
The ones i got are pretty good. Light output is the most yellow I've bought so far (without breaking the bank). Only time will tell if they are worth the extra $11 bucks as I only had the bulbs for 4 months. But so far, they are worth the money IMO. Some super reliable, long lasting, and high light output bulbs can cost over $50 and more, so I say these are a great buy.

For yellow, I recommend using NOKYA yellow. I've had them for years before switching to go with white LED bulbs.
If you want the best yellow halogen bulbs, go with PIAA. They're much more expensive, though.

I think most people go LED for the white colour which is not achievable with a halogen bulb.

Gotcha thanks. Nokyas seems to be proven. I do like the idea of low heat and efficiency though. But the Nokyas run at factory 35watts so they should be fine. But I was thinking that the LED ones might help the electronics a bit? Especially the multi-function switch? Or is is such a minuscule amount it wouldn't be worth it.?

I don't run my headlights/fogs during the day and I honesty just run my headlights at night. But I think with the yellow I will use them at night more since they look so cool

Stick with Nokyas if you don't want HID. Those crappy made in China LEDs won't last you..

I put the Nokya fogs and DRLs on my 08 Type S... they look great IMO. It's always hard to judge what headlights look like from pics, but here's a pic anyway.

Oh, and I've seen that some people put the yellow Lamin-x covers on their fogs as well to give a deeper yellow, but I don't think it's necessary. This thread talks about them: https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...covers-889590/ ... and there were some pics at the bottom from Kaiii, but they've been Photobucketed... so I attached them here (they're Kaiii's, not mine). The picture order is Nokya before lamin-x, after lamin-x, and daytime.

Diode Dynamics makes a yellow fog light. I have the white version and I have been very pleased with them. Pretty expensive, I got them on sale, but add a lot of light and have a good warranty.
