Recommend the quietest front pads for an 04 TL A/T

My front pads squeak so bad it is making me nuts. I spend alot of time in stop and go traffic and I need the quietest pads available. The rotors are in good shape- no groves. I am going to have them cut just to ensure there is no rotor warping. I will replace all hardware and shims.

I don't care about brake dust. I can clean my wheels. I just want quiet brakes. What do you recommend?

I have the Duragold? CMAX Gold pads. I forget what the company name is, but Autozone sells them for about $70.

Any squeaking problems? Thats my biggest concern. I want the quietest pads available. I assume those are ceramic pads?

Lunch -- are you using the OEM pads right now? I am in a lot of stop and go trafic as well, and dont experience much squeaking.

I wonder how the a-spec brake pads perform as far as quietness goes.

OEM is OEM in the middle. Duralast CMAX Gold Pads are good, quiet, and worth the money. Lifetime warranty also

Acura A-Spec Scotched pads, they dust a bit more over stock, but mine don't squeek and as well they stop on a dime.

do they need to be on front and rear or just on fronts? Pardon my ignorance.

Is this a good deal? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/04-08-OEM-ACURA-TL-A-SPEC-BRAKE-PAD-UPGRADE-SET-FF-RR_W0QQitemZ260419590788QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_ Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item3ca2379a84&_t rksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12|66%3A2|39%3A1 |72%3A317|240%3A1318

You would need to buy both available in this auction to complete the car, correct?

lol, im the least bit DIYer unfortunately. thanks for all the info

LiquidLunch -- maybe you should try out the a-spec pads!

And you say they are a little heavier but better performance? I'll be getting a-spec wheels soon. How is the performance of OEm pads with a-spec wheels. are the aspecs heavier than the OEM 5 stars? maybe i should i go to the a-spec pads at the same time put the wheels on

they weight the same as regular brakes, but the shims included make the package about 15lbs verus just getting the pads.

ah ok thanks, and whats your opinion/suggestion on maybe putting them on same time i get the aspec wheels?

Even though these listed are for 07, they shouldnt have any problem working, right? They're cheaper than a full set of OEM non aspec pads...is that right?

I have the Duralast Gold Ceramics on for 10k miles on my TL and 6k miles on my MDX now and very little dusting (the car gets dirty before the wheels) & NO NOISE.. Not a squeak / squeal / shimmy.. solid pads to say the least & there is a lifetime warranty on them so when they're toast.. take'em back and pick up a new pair free.

Well.. it was a toss up between OEM pads and the Duralast Duragold CMAX pads. Turns out I can get a better price on the OEM pads than the Duralasts so I am going to go OEM. But before that I have a custom trim shop replacing all the perforated panels on my drivers seat and the side bolster pieces on the seat bottom. I also have a broken wheel stud that will be getting fixed. Then I will do the brakes. I'll post an update as I have them.

Ceramic pads usually dont squeak only semi metallic or metallic pads. So you have a wide variety to choose from. Ceramics usually cost more =D.
