When I am listening to music that has any bass at all the rear deck lid rattles. Does this happen to anyone else and how do you fix it?

 

I haven't heard a rattle yet from the rear deck. I'll keep an ear out for it.

 

I have the rear deck rattle too.. my friggin 00 TL had it as well. At barely half volume it's doing it.

Typical american build quality. And we still have unions for WHAT REASON ??

It'll go back in again when I finally get to drive my TL for 2 weeks without it going into the damn shop.. I'll tolerate it for a while longer.

Uh, Sherlock. Marysville, is not a Union plant. And how do you know it's a labor problem?

I had it in my CL, other's mentioned their TLs had rattles, and some are complaining about this car.

There isn't a plant on this earth that would allow an installation problem to go on for 5 years or so.

How about, it wasn't designed properly, and that's why it rattles. Some do, some don't. Instead of making absolutletly sure (through designing it properly) the rattle would not be there, they save a few pennies.

 

hmm no rattle yet... here i got 2 alpine type r's in trunk and jl vr csi's 5 1/4 in rear doors... no complaints yet... i just picked up some dynamat and im going to do the car... (trunk, doors, and anything i feel that needs it...

 

I've had my TL for three days and I have the rear deck rattle with the sub and a rattle in the dash near the shifter. I guess this weekend will be spent tracking them down and figuring out some easy fixes. Even with the rattles, this car beats my 2003 CL-S 6speed hands down.

 

Is that in the 2004 TL? If so, do you have any pics? Any info on the install (difficulties or gotchas)?
