Angry Really bad shaking when cold?

Started my car this morning after snow poured down yesterday and when I drove off the steering was shaking badly. At first I thought it was snow buildup rubbing on the tires but after 10min of driving it was still bad. Then all of the sudden it went to normal. Could it have been the steering fluid being frozen or what? Never experienced this in any other vehicle. If it does it again it is going to the dealership. Anyone else experiencing this?

Often in the mornings, first start of the day only- Starts hard and idles rough. As soon as some heat shows up on the temp gauge, it smooths out and goes away. GO FIGURE

You had snow on your wheels and/or tires.. most likely the inside portion of the wheel. This can occur with mud or ice as well.

You probably had snow and slush in the rims. It builds up and the car rides like it is unbalanced. Once it melts or comes loose, you are fine. Did you ever see "My Cousin Vinny"?? In the beginning they get "mud in the tires". Same concept.

Maybe it does sound like there was some debris causing an unbalanced tire. I hope thats all it was.

Agreed. Mine does the same when it's very cold out. I don't notice it much in the mornings since our garage stays relatively warm, but I definitely notice it a lot when leaving work at the end of the day. The vibration is nasty for the first few miles but then it totally disappears.

The transmission is causing the shaking. This is a known issue with all Honda AT. It is not a big deal.
