ok so i just got my type s aspec body kit but i i got 4 pieces of side skirt shouldnt i of have only gotten 2 pieces or do i need the other 2 pices, two pieces are longer then the other. One last question actually, i only got rear type s bumper i need type s front bumper right for front aspec kit to fit or does the front lip already fit?

i am putting type aspec kit on a base tl

 

you will need the type-s front bumper in order to install the type-s aspec kit.
UNLESS, you take it to a body shop for them to modify.

 

side skirts are 2 pieces per side, so 4 peices total. short and long section for each side of the car. they slide into one another.

 

ok cool well this sucks only got the rear bumper delivered no front bumper. was so excited get it installed this week

i ordered from that guy i think his name is actl something like that and i order type s front rear bumpers, type s aspec kit, fog grills and the honeycomb piece for rear bumper. only got 1 unpainted bumper i thought i would have 2 was about to take it to get painted good thing i opened before taking it to get painted.

question would you think acura would paint the bumpers i wanna get paint right if they dont then i have a shop but just would want to get perfect match.

 

any good paint shop will be able to match the color code. you should expect to pay around $500 for both the front/rear bumper paint job.

just wait until the front bumper gets to you, and take them both in at the same time.

 

ya was gonna take them separately but i can wait longer i guess. still gotta wait to find fog kit but cant seem to get this.

 

if you got it from ACKTL then let him kno what you got.. I thought he sent out already painted kits

check with the person you ordered from before doing anything.. and the 4 pieces is correct

 

ok ya just got the front bumper really excited now but ok body kit is painted just sucks bumpers are not painted. sucks cause bumpers are to big it doesn't fit in tl need to find a truck now.

 

^his kit did come painted. it's the front/rear bumper that come raw and un-primed.

BUMPERS do not come painted.

 

it'll fit. put the rear bumper in your front passenger seat (recline the passenger seat a little bit) and wrap it around to the backseat.

you can put the front bumper in the same way. just stack them with some cardboard in between.

Lol ok so getting quotes on how much it owuld cost but to install bumpers I don't think I got any screws or clips would the shop be able to get som and install them and be simple installaton, or is it complicated? I got some clips and looks like screws but I'm guessing that's for body kit.

 

Cause the 1 guys looks at car and is like I don't think it'll fit but I said ya cause we'll everyones been telling me it will which I hope it does. Bumpers do seem pretty big

my bad was typing from phone i didn't even understand what i said. ok what im wondering is to install the typ-s bumpers do i need screws because i didnt get any with bumpers. the bumpers look pretty big so one guy that qouted me asked if im sure theyll even fit and i said yes.

 

nope no screws. you just reuse the push pins/screws that are already on your car.

and for the aspec lips, you just the little fastners and stuff that came with them.

it'll all become obvious once they are installing everything.

 

ok cool gonna have it painted and all installed in like 4-5 days. now i just gotta get some quad exhaust tips i think thats what its called the 2 dual exhaust type s tl's have. then i think my one of speakers blew out hopefully just the wiring so much money to spend.....but its fun as i get all this. once i get this installed im going to post pics see what you guys think of my car.

 

ok so last question fog kit do i search for a fog kit for an 04 tl which is what i have or do i get one for a type s tl since bumper and kit is type s. i really need help on this. I ask friends and not much help but where do i go online to get the fog kit. i have absolutly no idea this will help me out a lot.

 

04-06 TL have fogs in headlight bezels, 07-08 have fogs in lower grille. Most people on here custom mount accord fogs lights into there front bumper, from what I've read

 

ok i know about accord fogs for 04-06 tl but since i have newer bumper with type s aspec do i get fog kit for a tl type s?

 

i was told a 3k hid kit with h8 kit. is this right?

I still think you can configure accord fogs into 07-08 bumper, since it'd be alot cheaper than OEM TL fog setup. And I'm sure any HID kit can be wired up, if you know what your doing.
