The "Real" Invoice

I was reading on carbuyingtips.com that sites like Edmunds are not always correct with their invoice info on new cars. They say you should pay $35 to fightingchance.com if you want the 100% accurate invoice pricing. I did find some other websites that show the invoice on an 06 TL to be about $500 less than what Edmunds says.

There is a lot of free info out there and not just from Edmunds. Compare cars.com, kbb.com, and nada.com (a few that come to mind) with Edmunds before deciding to spend extra $.

Rimike - I purchased 30 days ago and before doing so, I paid the $14 at www.consumerreports.org for their pricing guide and learned of a $1065 dealer hoildback that was not listed on Edmunds or kbb.... When the dealer whined about small margins, I reminded him of his holdback and he changed his tune. Pay $14 at CR or $35 at fightingchance....

Edmunds shows the Acura holdback which is 3% of the MSRP, so I do know about that.
