The G35 coupe, OTOH (my goal is to lease a weekend car just for driving fun) is a 10.

Maybe you should add a poll to your post so people can vote.

overall 9.5

I like the back styling better than the front end.

i think the front is an 8, and the back an 11.

I'd say 8 for the exterior and 9.5 for the interior.

The only things I would change about the exterior (and this is just personal) is the indendation/groove on the side. I would have it flow into the tail lights like the BMW 3 Series instead of cutting off abruptly with an LED light. And I'd rather see two oval (like the RS6) exhaust tips in back and fog lights (separate from the headlight assembly) in front.

A 9 out of 10 for a sports sedan.

I can't help but be biased.

Well, I guess I am about to be flamed....

If grading on LOOKS alone, I would give it a 6. I think that it is a good looking sport sedan, but it is not the kind of car that you dream of when you are a kid. The difference in this car to others is not great, just a step above.

The answers to this question will be so subjective. Having said that I'll give mine.

I looked at many, many cars before I purchased the TL and I like some aspects of all of them but narrowed the field based on the following.

I look good in the C230 Kompressor, really good, but thats all it had.

The G35 is a great car but is not nearly as good looking. Smooth, which is nice but not enough interesting lines imho.

The IS300 seems a dichotomy to me. I like it and I don't. The exterior styling is sharp but seems too small, kinda Cavalier like, all at the same time. The interior styling is hard shiny plastic. No way, not for me!

I like the BMW 330I period. Frankly, regardless of what some others have expressed (not on this forum), it's way too expensive compared to the competition for me.

The A4 is Beautiful. Nuf said. Again the problem with value, reailibility, content and so on.

The newer styling of various Volvo's I think is cool. Especially the upcoming S40. As with the A4 and BMW, I question their reliability and the S60 wasn't as much fun to drive.

So, to make a short answer way too long. I actually love the TL styling inside and out.

Outside= 9 for me
Inside= 9.5.

I agree with jatttilicious. I don't like the fact that the grill is chromed. I love the rear.

Not to nitpick, but the grill is not chrome. It's satin silver, which is very similar to the trim on the Porsche Cayanne, but in no way shiny and "chrome-like" in appearance.

for me this would be the scale

Lambofghini Diablo, Ferrari Modena, F50, etc = 10
BMW M3 = 9
Audi A8, TL = 8 (needs fish gills on the sides...)

Aztek = -5

the TL looks very good anyway...

I like the overall look of the car --9.2

The rear is very good, MUCH better than a G35 or a 330i.
The front is OK. Nicer than a Jag or Saab. (I know the TL is working on the aerodynamics)
Overall a nice combo - front- rear, side.

Accord

I love the back end, but the front grille does look a bit "Accord-like". I have been dreaming of coming up with a new grille and if I did, it would be black metal with .5 inch perforated, round holes evenly spaced. The cross member would be history and just the Acura emblem would remain in the center of the grille. I would change the trim to a graphite color as opposed to the bright aluminum. If you build this, I'll buy it.

While I was gaga over the car initially, after having driven it, I can come down to earth a bit. A 9.9.

Actually, I think what stops the car from being drop-dead sexy is the snoot of a front it has. If they could've smacked that nose in a bit, I think it would've been a sweet design. The point snoot and the square back give it a wedge effect that could be improved upon.

That being said, I love the car...

I'd say lookswise it's a 7.5 to 8. The rear end is too high, as the trend is for newer cars. The back is also on the stubby side, I like the trunk top to be longer. I'm with jwaters on the groove, they did that just to be cute and it needs to go.

That said, can't wait to get mine.

I'd give it an 8.5

And I give just about all Nissans and Infinitis a 5 or lower. They're too trendy and just don't look like cars. They look more like some lunar expedition gone wrong.

I'd give it a 9!

Great looking car, but front end looks a wee bit like a TSX to me.

Looks I would give it a 6.5-7. I don't like big gash the runs along the side of the car. The exhaust looks better in pictures then in person. I do like the rear lights. I am not to fond of the front either. The interior is really nice.

Power. I dunno haven't test drove one. Just reading Magazines I would probably give it s 6-7 for power.

Please don't flame. To get a 10 acura would have to be a 4.5-5 second 0-60 and a high to mid 12 second quarter mile car.

I Have 6 speed with Nav.. Overall after 4 months of ownership I give it a solid 9. Deductions for , overboosted power steering, torque steer, tire flat spotting. Overall for the $$ no better auto out there. I am very Happy....

Interior = 10
Exterior = 9

I'm still processing the shiny black plastic around the windows and wondering if satin nickel trim (like the grill) would look better. Though I love the exterior shape, especially the back end.

Interior is Acura's best yet! Can't wait to see what they do with the RL now.

I second this statement. I wouldn't be caught driving a 'pod'.

I'm picking up my 2004 TL Antracite/Quartz Navi AT this afternoon.

Exterior = 8
Interior = 9

Overall value = 9

I can't afford anything I'd give a 10 to.

Exterior 8.5 - Like the back and sides. Like the front less (7).

Interior is a 9.5. Much better than anything BMW, Mercedes or Nissan has to offer.

When they come out with an AWD (which they will to compete with the G35 AWD) AND a Hybrid, then I'll wait for the:

Onstar to return
Rear seats to fold down
MP3 with ID capability
SACD capability
Dual visors

Ok already, putting on my flame retardant clothes and foaming my computer.

Really, the TL and the '05 RL are the only cars I'm considering for purchase after looking at 3 and 5 series as well as G35's. My three vehicles are just working too well and paid for, so I'm patiently awaiting the '05 RL and any TL changes. I'm also waiting for one of my vehicles to die.

My wife's S60 T5 has been almost flawless (had one issue with a noise coming from the a/c vent and it was just a loose piece inside) in 27K miles. Nowhere near the amount of rattles that my TL has with almost 7x the mileage and the seats are second to none.

Styling-wise I like the Volvo a little better than my TL but I think they're both very good looking sedans. I give the TL a 7.5 in the looks scale.

Just my .02

I give it a 9 overall, I agree with RavenHwk, the front can be confused with a TSX too easily.

I give it a 8.5

I would like to see a bigger trunk, I too small for me.

I really like the Exterior and interior, but I like more the dash board of the TSX.

really nice car though
