A friend of mine came over for a visit and we both happened to leave my house at the same time. I didn't care to race him but we both ended up next to each other doing about 45mph. He downshifted, I floored it and got a half car jump. Everytime he shifted he made up half a car and toward the end of each of my gears I would pull half a car. It pretty much ended the same as it started with me half a length out front. He was surprised to say the least because I had just been talking about how slow my TL is.

The big difference between our cars.... His runs 13.6 at 99mph off the bottle. He launches on the revlimiter and dumps the clutch. Mine would be lucky to hit a 14.6. Good thing we went from a roll I guess. Good thing he didn't hit the 125 shot too.

Mods to his car: Exhaust, headers, intake, advanced timing, and an unused 125shot.

Mine: Gutted third cat and homemade cold air.

This was pretty cool for me because back in the day the same Mustang had an ATI intercooled Procharger, giant cam, aluminum heads, etc. I still had the GN and always managed to come up with a win back then and still doing it today.

Nice race. Off the line those are torque monsters but from a roll its a good race with your TL. I remember hanging with a 02 GT Mustang 5spd from a 1st gear roll all the way to about 85MPH. I know from the line he would have pulled on me good.
