TL has no rain sensors, in other lux sedans it automatically turns on the windshield wipers for you. its a nice feature but certainly something that is not dire in my opinion. maybe i will change my mind once i get it in my next car.

i think u mean the intermittent wiper speed sensor that adjusts accordingly to your speed

actually the first dude is correct. acura says we do have rain sensign wipers. i don't know how to turn it on either. i've had mine since 12/03. i have noticed on occassion that when i stop at a light the wipers intervals slow down and then go back to their normal speed when i take off again. this happens sometimes. i don't know which settings to use or how to make it work. i feel stupid asking the dealer to specify!

that makes the two of you!
when you find it let the rest of the world know
cause neither my manual nor the sales brochure said anything about it

If you put your wiper into "INT" mode, it will slow down when you get under 10MPH or so. When you start moving again, it will resume to regular operation.

Fastest setting in "INT" mode and "LO" mode are virtually the same except that INT mode will slow down when you are at red light (I like it except when it rains heavy, you gotta keep it at "LO" to see the front)

no, not rain sensing. SPEED sensing. meaning, you do not have to change the setting of the intermittent wipers as you change speed... and when you let your foot off the brake, it'll wipe once to give you a clear view.

i highly doubt acura has stated the car has RAIN sensing wipers... i haven't seen that anywhere.

Rain sensing systems require some sort of IR sensing device that detects moisture and activates the wipers. As far as I know, it is not available on the TL. It does have, as stated above, a wiper interval and is varied by the speed of the vehicle.

It doesnt exactly sense moisture. It bounces light of the windshield and detects refraction from water droplets.

The only Acura with rain sensing wipers is the MDX with Touring Package.

In Japan/Europe the JDM Accord (TSX), Inspire (US Accord) and Legend (RL) have rain sensing wipers.
