Last night coming from college... I met 2 guys in 1990 nissan 300z (or whatever they had back in 1990), stock manual.... we did 2 races...

First race, he had ahead start but I cought up and beat'em.
Second race, we are on 3 lane road, He's on left lane, I'm on right lane and we have BMW z4 in center... z4 didnt wanted to race... so we took off when the light turns green... 300z keeps up with me till 40mph... then i smok'em.......... and then guy asks me if i had stick or auto and I said auto and he was pretty impressed with my TL.

it must have taken till 40mph to pass b/c theres no low end torque. am i right?

hmm..... race with a 14 years old car, what's the point? you got to win of course.

doesn't really matter how old the car is. if the Z was the twin turbo model it would have beat the TL.

Not sure where the logic of it being 14 years old comes in... plenty of cars worth racing that were built back then.

it was funny racing with them, they were interested to see what TL got against them... other party wasn't mean or anything... they were happy to see my car and gave each others thumbs up.

I have a 98 Accord V6 Coupe right now...raced a 94 NA 300ZX and beat him after 85mph and walked him.
