so i was driving back with some friends across country (cali-VA) we were in New Mexico at about 7am when my friend who was driving lost control of my car on the ice for a second, then next thing i kno a 18 wheeler hits us in the rear and totals my baby. i was sitting in the back seat at the time and im 100% positive that having the trunk full of luggage was the only thing that saved my life. im happy to be alive but i wish i could say the same for my car

 

glad you are alright, that is the main thing. This might be a good opportunity to upgrade

I don't know who you are and probably, I will never meet you but I'm so glad you are okay. You can buy another car but you can't buy your life or your health.

 

wow dude you were in the back seat! thank god you are ok. i know first hand how safe this car is. i myself was T-boned on the drivers side by a truck going 50 mph, and survived with minor injuries. all the safety features and my personal experience, was a huge reason why i bought another TL. good luck, hope to see you back with a new ride.

Wow!!! Glad you guys were okay....reading your thread reminded me of a similar accident involving a 3G TL which was also rear ended by an 18-wheeler, there were three passengers in the TL but only the driver survived.....the passenger in the front and rear died at the scene....

thank you everybody for caring. im not even up here that much and i was honestly expecting a bunch of "oh sh*t...or...Damnsss" but it really makes me feel good that you guys really seem to care that were ok. means alot. but the only injuries were some minor back sprains and we're all goin to the chiropractor 3x a week, and everyone is getting better.....who woulda thought you have to got through snow n ice in New Mexico??? smh
