Quiet
Quiet
This car is very quiet.
I was sitting in traffic on the BQE as usual with all these trucks around me and the cabin stayed quiet. I turned the music off and just sat there. It felt like there was no cars around you.
And on the turnpike going 80mph it felt quiet also. In my previous cars I had to turn the music on loud just so I don't hear the wind noise.

Very very super duper quiet. There is a layer of something between the windshield glass that really cuts down the noise inside the car. Someone here said he tested it out by facing the traffic and couldn't hear anything, then turned parallel to the traffic and heard more noise in the car.
Also lots of insulation. In my 96TL, when it rained hard, I could hardly hear the radio. First time it rained hard while driving my 04TL, it took me a long time to realize that this was not happening, and I could barely hear any noise from the rain hitting the roof or windshield.
I agree... very soothing ride. I noticed that the body panels are foam filled which helps insulate for reducing noise. Just look in your door jam and you will see that the front quarter panel has foam insulation.

That's so true! I really didn't notice it thought, but now that you mention it, I can't hear the wipers, I can barely hear ther rain. Driving in NYC really makes me appreciate how quiet the TL is.
