I think you guys will get some laughs from this one. Today a guy told me that he has a ion that does the quater in 10 seconds. I was like how are you pulling those numbers. He replied, I have a supercharger and a turbo. Right then I knew this kid was a lier, so I asked him to race. He said sorry his girlfriend had his car. That is a load of horse shit right or have I just never heard about it. I can't believe that I am even asking this question, but you never know.

I asked him if it was a twin turbo setup and he said no. I am going to ask him to race. If it is a supercharged ion I don't know if I can take hime, but I am guessing I can since I have beaten two srt 4's. The only diference I can think of off hand is the srt is turbo and the ion is supercharged, so it will have more power in the lower rpm's. Still, I do not know specifications of the motor itself, only that they are both 4 bangers. I just want to put this lair in his place.

Its possible, because I have a turbo, a supercharger, and the turbonator, and last time I took my car to the quarter mile track I traveled back in 1959 when the track was first built before I got to the end of the track. Then I had to find Doc Brown to get me back to the right year.

 

He must have a flux capacitor, those things make your car FAAAAAST.

 

Although it is possible to supercharge and turbo a car it is very unlikely that his ION is. My only idea is that he may have a Saturn ION Redline, but unless it is modified pretty good, you shouldn't have a problem taking it out. The stock redlines are close to the 0-60 and quarter times for the stock 2nd gen TL-S times.

Well I guess we may have all underestimated the possibility of a twin charged ion redline/cobalt SS. According to the link below, there was a company developing a twin charge kit for a Cobalt SS that would give it 300 whp. Couldn't find out if it was ever created, but it is possible. I have seen a 9 sec. twin charged Pontiac Grand Prix before!!

I've seen Buick Regals pull 10second quarter miles, anything is possible. However I doubt it, too much work all for a Saturn, no way, who mods a car that's named after a fucking planet?

 

Just check to see if its a modded Saturn Ion Red Line...I almost got one of those instaed of the TL, (long story not goin into it) but, TL was a hand me down gift from my parents (Thank you God) and the ion red line was 14K +/- So yeah, all I know is its fast, don't knwo about compared to teh TL but they're beefy ions

 

Yeah the Redline is supercharged, it's practically an uglier version of the Cobalt SS.
