So today I revved my 06 TL in park to about 4k rpm max. I never hit any rev limiter.

Towards the end of my run, there was a slight noise. I have no idea what it was. Do you think it could have been the transmission?

The car is close to 105k checkup, so it could be one of those worn out pieces.

I went again to start it up and the noise didn't reoccur. Ideas?

 

How do you expect us to be able to pinpoint what the noise is when you tell us "there was a slight noise"?

 

Never mind, I played around with it some more and it hasn't reoccured.

Could a mod please delete this thread?
