QUICK THREAD > HID vs LED FOGS
So what have you all been running. I am not into blue or pink or anystuff like that. Would you go HID fogs to match the headlights or high power LEDS in white? Cant make my mind. Money and ease of installation are not imortant. Just wanna know what you all think. I have led DRLS and they look cool. Also has anyone figured out how to get the fogs to run with just the parking lights yet?

Talked about this a few times, just search the threads but bottomline is: The LEDs are easier to install but the output is so low. It will just give you a good color match but it's more of a fill-in light that's hardly visible in the daytime. HIDs are better since you aren't like most people who don't like the installation. They will be nice and bright.
You'd have to wire it some other way without using the factory wiring because the HIDs require a 12V input and the stock DRLs dont' run on 12V. You can't use the DesignTech module either as it delivers only 75% intensity. It can be done though. You can make a simple wiring relay that will have them come on automatically with the car. Or wire them to a switch as you would if they were auxillary fog-lights.

I would think that you are in the wrong section, the 2nd gen TL 1999-2003 is one below.
