After work today I am about to meet up with a guy who is trying to sell me his

*brand new*[hes had it for a year in his closet] Secret Weapon R intake ram air kit for $150

Im pretty set on buying it, however one thing I did notice was his intake is
designated 3.5L intake for the 09+

and I have a TL 08 Base. Will this fit? I called a customer support of a website to ask and they said no. But this guy works at Acura and says yes. Input?

How I see it, the pipes will bend to configure to fit the space under the hood.. is there anything I should know though? As in is there any difference if I were to try and install 06-07 intake or the 09+ intake? Thanks in advance!

Also he says he no longer has the carb sticker, will this affect anything as I am in California?

oh yea i forgot to mention 08tl base is 3.2

doubt it will fit.

without CARB sticker, you'll have to remove the intake (if it even fits) to have the car smogged.

I'm not sure if it will fit but from the information you've given it seems like a bad idea. I would wait for one you know 100% will fit, that is unless someone with that knowledge chimes in.

so with a carb sticker i can leave the intake in for maintenance/ garage work?(vise versa, if I dont have the carb sticker it just wont pass smog?)

also, is there any particular reason why the 09+ intake wont fit? (as in like more piping? bigger size? etc.)

thanks for the responses guys, any more will be appreciated Im supposed to meet the guy a few hours.

$150 for sri; you might as well build one from ebay for half the price or get a CAI i.e dc sports for $110. If you are skeptical about CAI then do the resonated intake delete.

Will it fit.........I think so because if the IM and TB fits I dont see why it would? If you go for, check the bends on the piping to see if it will match the lining of our stock intake.

the only comparison difference i see seems to be that the newer intake looks a little longer.
Another question I have is, in the long run does having a SRI have any negative consequences? (besides sluggish power during heat days)

All that noise without the horsepower to show for it. But that's just my personal opinion.
