I just picked up my 2004 Acura TL and have a couple questions.

I searched DRL mod and didn't find what I was looking for.

DRL = Daily running lights?

I just noticed I had another set of lights I could turn on today in my headlights. One of which is burned out. I would like to replace these with a yellow bulb.

Is it possible I can make to where these lights will come on with the corners instead of the headlights?

I don't mean to create a repeated topic, but I couldn't find what I was looking for or perhaps I wasn't using the proper search terms.

Any help is appreciated.

DRL - Daytime Running Lights

The 04 models have DRL's and Foglights in the headlight housing, you probably have a foglight bulb burned out

You could most likely do the independent foglight switch mod where they will come on with the parking lights, there is a thread about this just do a search!

Thank you sir. I'm just kinda confused. DRL and foglights?

On the left of the steering wheel i have a switch i can turn and it turns on a set of lights that only come on with the headlights... other than that I wasn't aware of any other lights.

So what is the difference between DRL and foglights in the headlight? I don't have any DRL i don't think or nothing is automatic.

Apologies i'm a total noob to the newer Acura generation.. I guess this is what happens when you stick to EG Civics and DC Integras. :P

 

DRLs didn't come with the TL until 07-08, and Canadian models (I believe).

The burned-out light you are referring to is your fog light.

One other quick question. I have two friends that both own 03 Acura TL's as well which experience this same ''noise''

For the first time since I got the car it was really quite at idle, no heat or radio and I kind of hear some chatter or slight faint clunking noise.. almost like a tensioner, but everything appears to be fine. Runs and drives great just a slight noise I just recently noticed?

Anyone else experience this?

P.S - I searched, but all threads appeared with suspension issues.. this is just a slight noise i'm hearing, but cannot pinpoint.
