Questions about A-spec bodykit

1) Is $840 from hondacuraworld.com currently the best deal?

2) Can you still install a hitch if I have the kit installed?

You can get it for $803.20 from Oakland Acura through their eStore. They have 20% off msrp parts and accessories till the end of the month and free shipping over $100. Not sure if you're in CA or not since there's tax on top if so. I just did a will call for my pieces.

Not sure about the hitch question though.

ecliptics, i've been searching acuraoemparts.com but can't find the whole kit for $803.20; where did you see this price? buying each individual part separately came out to around $850.

ebay has them for 815 shipped I just ordered one a few days ago. If you buy seperate of course you will pay more there is seperate shipping involved plus you don't get the package discount. If you want to save as much as possible try to buy them all together.

If you order from Tim at hondacuraworld.com I'd say you more likely to get a new one from the factory. Not one sitting around a dealer storeroom, with who knows what happening to it.

Plus you'll get better service from him if something goes wrong. Tim is a stand-up guy. Plus you'll be supporting AZ vendors.

Shipping is not free from Hondapartsunlimited.com. I called the person and he told me when the part comes in it would be weighed and then they would charge the shipping.

Do the kits come w/ the required hardware to install them? What about if you purchase each piece separately?

They look similar, but the A-Spec side skirts are different. There is added flare on the A-Spec.

Hey, does anyone here from Canada have an aspec kit ordered online? If so...from where? How much? Shipping? I am looking to spend about $850 cdn.

Also, the ron jon kit looks good to, but is it more expensive? Can anyone with a NBP with ron jons kits post a pic? Thanks in advance guys.

Few more questions...

1) My Acura dealership gave me a quote for $225 to install the whole kit, or just $85 for just the rear; what would you recommend paying?

2) If I installed the front lip by myself, do I need to put the car on jacks?

3) Has anybody had any problems w/ color matching the new parts on an older TL (mines an '04)?

4) This is not related, but I often wonder, there is this plastic piece on the front underside of the car that I sometimes scrape after a steep descent, what is that piece for?

Dude, put your reading glasses on .....The group buy (which ends today) specifically states that it is FREE SHIPPING.

So unless you are not sharing some vital info.......Go to www.hondacuraworld.com right now and place your order before they pull it from the site.

I know its free shipping.. But i live in NY , which is where Tim's acura retail store is located... So i get slapped with a 70 tax charge for living in NY.. So that's why i was looking outside of NY to purchase the kit to avoid the tax..

bump..

yes, but use jackstands

3) Has anybody had any problems w/ color matching the new parts on an older TL (mines an '04)?depends on the condition of your paint and the color

4) This is not related, but I often wonder, there is this plastic piece on the front underside of the car that I sometimes scrape after a steep descent, what is that piece for?it is there to deflect the air
the rear is the most difficult of the pieces to install, and it is really very simple to do as well.

Can anyone recommend a spoiler for my 05 gray TL. I just got the bodykit from Tim but I would like a lip spoiler. A link would be appreciated. I like the Type S deck spoiler but it doesn't come in my color. let me know

Please perform a search on other alternatives (keyword trimking*). There are a few threads out there.

There is always the option to buy the Type-S and paint it.

you cant put a hitch on an acura tl that has a a-spec body kit, the back part makes the car lower, it would mess up the whole look of the a-spec in the back.
