My personal experience for gas mileage anywhere between 14-31 MPG.

AT on 07 and 08 models are better than the 04-06 ones. They're pretty solid compared and shouldn't really need to worry about them failing like the 04-06.

Downshifts are a bit hard, but that's normal for this car.

Gas mileage isn't bad, but not great either. I get a combined 23mpg, but I mix in alot of city driving too. It's a v6 after all.

Great vehicles no common serious problem areas. Strong transmissions.
Hard to find clean low mileage ones for reasonable price, usually have to travel to find the one, but that's usually more towards the 6mt ones.
My 6mt averages 23ish in the far suburbs. No highway, but also no full stop and go city. 6mt's typically get 2-3mpg better than the autos though.

I got an average of 39 MPG (or 6L/100km) on a 300km round trip recently in my 08 TL 5AT, mostly highway. Average speed about 110-120 km/h, passing at 130-140.

07-08 has no major issues for tranmission and motor, the tranny night shift hard but that can be cure with 3rd&4th pressure switches and 3x3 method which also have DIY here.
