Question Question: Loose Gas Pedal...

Anyone has the gas pedal loose like this?

My pedal seems to depart from the LEFT to the right...

I remember the new car doesn't look like this, and have to check with the dealer after TWO WEEKS...

Could anyone check your pedal and make sure this is the only problem to my car? Thanks.

How would you even know this? I never even looked at mine. Or rather I never studied it in any way other than to throw the all-weather mats in.

I was trying to figure out the wires stuff under the panel and steering column... that's how I found this...

Anything loosing like this isn't normal, right?

Wish this one is better...

It wasn't like that in the first day.

Thanks.

Mine looks the same way. Looks like some type of hinge to give it some play.

Tred, I checked mine also, it is the same as yours.

It is there to allow for side to side movement with your foot and is spring loaded.

Just move it side to side and you will see, it returns to the position you have shown in the photos.

Ur... I know it's the tiny thing, but just wonder if this movable hinge stuff would happen in the new TLs ppl pick up recently.

I'd like to know what's going to happen after a year.

my gas pedal isn't even connected at the bottom! is it supposed to be?? it flops all over the place and is a little spooky to drive. spoke with acura service today and he had never heard of such...sez I should bring it in for him to check out. what holds it together at the bottom?

The gas pedal on my 3G TL is firmly attached to the floor at the bottom. It does not flop all over the place.

This could be dangerous, so take it to the dealer as soon as possible.
