Hey guys, Got a new toy last Feb (C6) and haven't been on here for awhile. I noticed when I took the TL in for inspection yesterday, the new TLs were rated at 258 hp. My 2004 was rated at 270. Does this reflect a de-tune or is this just a true value brought about by some real testing..I'm sure this topic has already been discussed here just to lazy to search for it..BTW, I love this Acura TL, best car I have ever owned, including the C6..

 

There is a new way to calculate HP. Acura is one of the first few to step up and use the new method. The engine is the exact same as 2004 and 2005 with the exact same power. It just is different on paper.

didn't realize it came with a can of worms....This case is closed as far as I'm concerned..Bottom line: love the car and plenty of power to spare...
