Please search. There is a DIY in the 3G TL Garage.

Search for products by rockblocker if you want to add tinted film.

Are you talking about blacking it out with rockblocker, or painting the housing?

foot3ch (sp?) has some night pics and he opened the housing to paint the inside. he said there was less light coming from the headlights. And I think there was someone on the forum who also did the rockblocker and said the headlights were dimmer as well.

I don't know about painting the housing but I do know if you tint then your going to reduce the amount of light they put out. Tints are gauged based on % of light passage through them .. eg. 20% tint = 80% of the light passage is blocked and so on.

I thought about tint but if I did it I'd use a film and cut it so the light passage from the headlights wasn't effected. Someone here has done that and it looks great.

rockblockers tint is the opposite. 20% means that 20% is blocked and 80% is emitted/passed through.

i think lokius did something different...he took apart the headlights and tint the orange reflector really really dark...it looks great in the morning and at night...it still looks sweeet because the ornage reflector still shines.. i think that orange reflector is one of the best part of the headlight when it's lit..
