A question about the A-spec Springs.

I have read through all of the suspension threads and am a little unclear on one thing. Can I buy just the springs from the A-Spec kit? The sales manager said he could arrange to sell me just the springs If I talked to him about it first. He is trustworthy... I have purchased 9 cars from these guy's they pretty much let me have my way when I want something.

well the aspec suspension comes as 1 piece. the springs are already mounted on the shocks, if he's willing to part them out and just give you the springs, then I guess you could do it, but it would be smarter to get both components as they are designed for each other, not sure if the aspec springs would fit properly on the stock shocks

Agree with cTLgo. I think you mean the shocks and springs together rather than springs alone. Dealers are told by Acura not to break up the A-Spec kit as Acura wants the A-Spec to be an exclusive. Some dealers are willing to do it anyway--that's how I got mine, in fact. If your dealer is willing to work with you, go for it.

I got a problem

My dealer told me that the ASPEC spring kit wasn't available for retail now and that I could only get it when I bought the car. Does anyone have a solution for me? Or does anyone know if my dealer is BSing me?

Your dealer is partially correct. The A-Spec suspension kit is not available officially outside of the entire A-Spec kit (e.g. body kit + steering wheel + badge + wheels + tires); your dealer is right about this part. It is a dealer add-on, and can be purchased whole at the dealer for installation at the time of, or after, the purchase of your car; your dealer is wrong about this part.
