Question: From '05 TL front converting to Type S front end.

I tried to search it up but couldn't find anything. So I am hoping someone have the answer for it. Planning to swapping my 05 tl front end to 07-08 type s front end. I am sure there are some mods needs to be done to fit the bumper and headlights. But what are the mods I need to get done to get them fit? And plus how's the fitment ? Do I need additional parts other then headlights, bumper, and the grill ?

the 04-06 has the same dimensions as the 07-08 bumpers.
after all, it still is a 3G TL.

you will need no modifications, as it will bolt right up.
however, the grille trims do not fit on the type-s bumper.

you will need to buy
-the grille or mesh behind a-bar
-the A-bar with the A
-2 lower grilles
-2 foglights

and bumpers do not come painted. you will have to get it painted

You'll also need the TL-S V shape outline trim for the upper center grille. And, you'll need the TL-S hood trim. The 04-06 & 07-08 base hood trim is satin silver, the 07-08 TL-S is black chrome. You'll want all TL-S parts so all the trim pieces are color matched black chrome. It wouldn't look right if the hood trim stayed satin silver, and other parts were in black chrome.

You might want to re-think the TL-S headlights. The existing headlights will work fine with TL-S bumper parts. Going to TL-S headlights would cost quite a bit, I also think the factory HID igniter size is different (bolts to the lower headlight housing).

I have the 04-06 hood trim.
and then the 07-08 v-trim.
Honestly, its not as bad of a color combination one would think.
