putting on a spec

Is there a scan from the service manual on how to put on the front and rear? I am stuck right now trying to put it on. On the front how you you put the screws in the wheels wells, it seems there is nothing there just two clips. I put the sides on fine. Any help will be greatly appreciated, and anyone in Rockville is more than welcome to drop by if you have time.

On the rear bumper there is only double sided tape, where as in Datmrman has to drill holes in the rear bumper which doesn't make sense to me b/c mine does not have anything to attach it too.

Service Manual scans show screws and brackets.

Where'd you get your kit? Maybe Acura has changed the install??

Newer kits are different than the original one. Lots of drilling. The install instructions are on AZ

Did you buy it used? The rear has 4 tabs attached to the lip that the 4 screws that go through the drilled holes in the bumper attach to.

The 4 brackets are part of it.

The 4 tabs are held on by 2 pieces each of double sided tape .. I bet the guy just pulled the rear lip off pulling off the tabs and undoing the side screws and not bothering to remove the brackets.
He didn't want to remove the rear bumper to do it properly.

The 4 holes/tabs are for positioning the lip when the rear bumper is off and before the film is removed from the double sided tape.

I think you could get away without the clips but the brackets are a must.

It doesn't look bad, where the corner of the grill on the far left side where a fog light would be; it does not sit exactly flush. other than that it is fine.

You mean the brackets that are installed on the inner fenders?

Without those your going to have possible issues with the back edges of the lips moving out.

Can't you get a hold of the seller and ask for them?

I will send him a message now.

Can you specify which brackets your talking about. from what i understand there are ones in the fender/wheel well and there are the ones that you have to drill into the bumper.

They are the ones in the links posted above -0 the brackets tha come with the A-Spec kit.

Your seller screwed you (imho) by not giving you all the parts required.

I paid $400.00

He told me he doesn't have the brackets, but i look at it today and it is really stuck on the bumper. My old lip was held up by 3M tape. When i tried to get it off it was very difficult.

Doesn't matter what you paid. If I were to sell you something, I'd supply all the parts that came with it and/or tell you what is missing BEFORE you buy it.

Again, just my .

Hope the tape works for you. As long as you're happy, what I or anyone else thinks really doesn't matter.
