Saying a push-button start is worse than using the key to start the engine is like saying Money Can't Buy Happiness.

If the TL came with a push button starter, someone would want a "Key" mod. It's just human nature to want something different.

I loved the push-button (keyless) system in my M35x, but the one in my S2000 was neat to see but offered no real convenience.

In my last car the part where you insert the key called the ingition tumbler broke and did'nt accept my key anymore. The whole thing was a nightmare. I would not have to worry about breaking off a key or having that tumbler break again, if my TL had a push button start. My

I have the keyless push button thing on my 2006 GS and let me tell you I love the dam thing! I can have the keys in my pocket just approach the car and put my hand on the handle and the door unlocks, I open the door sit down, press the brake and hit push start and drive. This is even greater if you approach the car with your hands kind of full and you dont have to fumble around for the key fob dropping shit and open the doors and crap, you can just hop in. The trunk can be operated the same, just approach and put your hand under the trunk release handle and it pops open.

And when leaving you just push a button to stop the engine and hop out and close the doors and press a button on the door handle to lock up the car. Also another cool thing is when I approach the car at night, as soon as I get within in 5 feet of the car, the car senses the key fob and its puddle lights come on to illuminate my path. Haha.. now how cool is that!

Like with all technology, its always going to promote laziness, fact of life. Convenience and Laziness always go hand in hand, doesn't mean we're not going to try to make life easier.

The argument can always be made that that ANY advance in technology will promote laziness...

The wheel? Those lazy bastards... pick stuff up and move it around..what the hell! LOL

But I think the big draw in the push-button start in the TL, without the other options (door unlocking, puddle light sensors, etc) is just the fact that it's different and unique. I mean why else do we do all the stuff we do to our cars? Mostly to be different and unique! Who doesn't want to show up at the next meet and say "Hey everyone...check this out" and everyone goes "oooooohhhhhh!"
