The purchase is complete!

Hey guys! I've been a member (mainly a lurker though) here for a little over a month, after my old car was totaled and I started looking for a 3G TL. Well, I wanted to burst out of said lurker closet, show the ride, and thank all of you guys and this amazing forum for the ridiculous amount of great information here! This place is truly awesome!

Here's the new car... These are just pics from the dealer, as the weather has been crappy here and I haven't had the chance to take good pics myself. A thorough washing / cleaning and picture-taking extravaganza is the plan for this weekend!

Congratulations. She's a beauty. And nice job on getting an 06, which is one of the better years for the 3G TL.

Very nice. How much did you get it for? Also, what is that sticker on the back window?

Got it for $18,725. The back window sticker was just the dealer sticker. That was gone before I drove it away

Congrats and welcome to AZ Check out the 3G garage for tons of info. Also register your TL at www.myacura.com. Save your Navi and Radio codes there. Check for any recalls your TL may need.

Already done, done, and done! Thanks!! The only open recall (p.s. hose) was done before I picked the car up.

Two previous owners, but spotless Carfax overall. I'm not a fan of the flaps either. Undecided on if they will stay or go.

You're in Denver, I see. I just moved *back* to PA after living in Denver for a little over a year. Lived in south Denver, just at the Littleton border, worked in uptown. What an amazing city, man! Miss it terrible!

Congrats on the purchase If you want to get rid of the mudflaps, why not go all out and get the a-spec kit! If not, you could always paint them and make them look much better!

By the way, who ever owned the car before must have loved it dearly since it looks like it was modified! The front grille is body color versus the grey it should be!

Or, maybe it was repainted but I hope not!

You mean surrounding the A? Nope, that's still the original grey / silver. It does look almost white in the pic, however.

1st mod suggestion: Black spoke wheels with a small 1 to 1 1/2 polished lip and chrome tuner-lugs..
What do you think members?

Thanks all!!! I gave it a full wash / polish earlier (beautiful day in northeast PA today), and took a crapload of pictures afterward. If you guys are interested, I'll post some higher res. cleaner shots. They came out great, I think! Only seen them in the viewfinder thus far, but dammit they look nice! Haha

Damn you did a nice job detailing.

Oh btw, looks like your front bumper got repainted.

You can see the white paint through the lower grills.

Not to mention your bottom of your grill is indeed painted, as stated before...
Should be grey, not white.

Should look like this:

Well summanabitch!!! I apparently wasn't well enough Acura-informed to recognize the painted grill. After reading your post, I went out and checked out the car with a fine tooth comb, and I'll be DAMNED if I could tell there was any paint work done. Whoever did it did a fantastic job. I guess I should't be too concerned. whatever needed to be repaired was never reported, as the Carfax was clean.

I'm still a little pissed though. Wonder if the dealer knew? Bastards!
