Talking Pulled The Trigger On A New TL Tonight !!!

Finally got the deal done! Signed the paperwork tonight for my '06 ASM 5AT Navi . It was build yesterday and should be at my dealer between the 23rd and the 28th. I'm hopin' it's the 23rd as I can't wait to start experiencing this car and be able to post here and help other TL owner. Hmmm ... that sounds good ... "OTHER TL owners" . FWIW, the demo I was looking at was only going to be $975 cheaper than a "new" TL so I decided to go all out and get the "new" one. Bye-by GM, hellooooooo quality!

Thanks guys - I was soooo disappointed they didn't have the car I wanted in stock but at least it was allocated and on the way to the dealer. Can't wait to get out of the GM thing I'm driving now! As far as the deal on the car goes, I got it for C$42.250 which I'm thinkin' is a pretty decent deal. That said, I did buy an enxtended warranty for 7 yrs / 160k km that I know the dealer made money on so they made out okay in the deal .

Boardman,

Congrats, just curious, what is the GM 05 car you are unhappy with and why?

Let's just say that MY experience with the '05 C6 has NOT been a good one. That's pretty much all I can say . Oh yeah - I can't wait to get my TL - have I mentioned that?

CONGRATS AND WELCOME to the club!

The TL is a great car.

I must say however that I own a 2002 Chevy SUB LT and it is going on 50K miles, not once have I had any problems with it.

The only problem I have with it is putting out $70 to fill the monster up each time.

I myself have owned several GM's problem free but the last few have been questionable and the last one was down right rediculous. Also, when I went out looking for cars in the C$40K - C$50K range NOTHING GM had could stand up to the TL in regard to design, build, and espeically interior quality. The TL interior looks and feels "substantial" while the GM stuff is "plasticy". Acura all the way with this boy .
