Sorry to sound dumb, but i want to be armed when i call the dealer and complain, the all season mats are the rubber ones correct, the carpet floor mats are standard and should come with the car either way

thanks

usually the dealer just gives you 3 out of the 4. they usualy leave out the rubber matts. i said something to them they said they would give it to me at cost of around 100 bucks. long story short they threw them in as well. so i got the wheel locks, trunk tray, mud guards and all season rubber matts(and those are what i wanted the most living in a snowy environment)

doesn't the "pro package" differ in varying regions of the US?

Same here. No rubber mats (don't care, though, because the weather is pretty fair where I live)

Just called the dealer and he said the package is the wheel locks, trunk tray and paint sealer...hmm... i think they owe me at least the mud flaps,

how do the mud flaps look on the car, do they degrade the appearance, thoughts?

I personally don't like the way they look on my car, but that could be because they're black, while my car is white; there's a stark contrast between them and the car so they're obvious. I've been thinking about either removing them or having them painted body color to match. I'll do that once winter is over.

I have an Anthracite and I dont mind the mud flaps/guards kinda blends in. It helps prevent an long water/mud mark when you drive in the rain.

Also I got my "pro package" mud guards, trunk tray, and wheel locks for free =D

on a side note. I remember when I wanted to buy my car at an Acura some where down near LA. Well to make a long story short the so call sells person of "10 years" told me I dont need a trunk tray. I told him several times I wanted one and he refused to sell me one. I was like WTF sell me a damn trunk tray. He called it stupid and point less and the trunk nets is what i need. On top of that he couldnt match the internet qoute i got from another Acura dealer down the street. This was only after the fact I drove down there beliving him after he told me he will beat any price since they are the bigiest Acura dealer in CA. I then began to tell him im heading to the other dealer and he told me good luck on buying and 06 TL with pro package, with i-pod connector, and back up sensor for 32.8k because it crazy no one will make any money on the price. Next thing you know I drove down the street and bought my TL for 32.8k and i was in and out in 2 hours. sorry but this is a still an touchy topic for me even tho i bought my car 5 months ago.

Haha nice. You should've gone back to the other Acura dealership in your new car and then bought the trunk tray from there... I'm glad that the only dealership in Vegas has excellent customer service.

And for the whole mud flaps thing. I don't like the way they look on our cars. They should be painted at least. I mean I see Nissan Altimas with mudgaurds and they are painted, why not Acura? They look cheap when they're not painted.

When we bought my TL they had the "Desert Package" (cause I'm in Vegas) and it consisted of all season floor mats, a trunk tray and mud gaurds I believe. I think there was a little more, but I can't remember. In the end we got all the stuff in that package for free anyway. They asked if we wanted mud gaurds put on until they installed the A-Spec package, and we said no thanks, but they gave them to us anyway!

I'd be all over that. I think a matching set of mud guards wouldn't look half-bad. As is (white paint with black mud guards), I don't think it looks that great. I will admit that it does help keep the car clean, though.

There's an Acura dealer on Ebay offering painted mud guards/flaps on the 3G TL.

My pro pack (mud guards, rubber mats and wheel locks) costs me $200. If your dealer "threw it in" with purchase of the car, your purchase price probably includes the pro pack. Nothing is really for free ... the dealer must have accounted for it in the price you paid.

I thought about the $100+ fitted tl rubber mats but got the $19.94 heavy duty 4 piece set at Costco. It's just to collect water and mud anyway. Money saved can be spent on other mods!

All of the extras they offered me were a gyp.

Protectants - (wasnt listening to the cost) underside, paint and interior all useless
Gap coverage - $400 : I can sell it to myself for $225
Clear front bra - $500 : a few more bucks and the whole front can be repainted
window tint - $200 and its only 35% on all windows: had a local guy do 20% for $140 and he did the rear doors properly

Plus i know of another dealer here in AZ (Acura of Tempe) that puts a disgusting pinstripe job on all of their Acuras that you are stuck paying for.

True, but at the price I got the TL at I'll like to think I got them for free so It makes me feel I won over the stealership.
