Smile Protecting fog lights

Had a Honda mechanic friend tell me that the fog lights are frequently cracked and/or broken due to rocks, etc and the placement of the lenses. Anyone have any ideas on the best ways to protect them without compromising function and appearance? They are expensive to replace! Thanks in advance.

I used rockblocker (no longer in business) on my foglights.

Sooner,
I already had one of my fogs cracked due to rocks on the highway. Got the new ones installed and also purchased lamin-x from their site. Easy install, very inexpensive and should definitely prevent any issues.

I use/sell clear vinyl tint that should create a "barrier" between the rock and lens. Just try to avoid traveling directly behind people on a road with construction or never follow behind construction vehicles. Unfortunately things like this happen..

i seen a guy here cut a piece of thin lexan/plexi glass a little bigger than the lens and place it between the lens and the foglight outer housing. he even put yellow film on it. i'll try and find it.

I put yellow film on my fogs for the look and for protecting it. Looks great and its practical.
