The Props you get being a TL owner...

I love it when I'm either walking to or from my car and someone says, nice Acura/Car!!! I smile and say, thanks, thinking, the TL gets much love.....I was at this 7 eleven in dumfries, va on sat at the red box and this dude walks out and said, sweet ride, I love the TL.....

How often do you get the love?

pretty common. Just got one yesterday from my friends friend, he said "nice wheels" lol. He even knew i drove a six-speed cause he saw the brembos. theres a lot of early 20 to mid up to 40 year old guys who always complement my car. its all good.

I don't get it too often. Every now and again. Back in the early '90s when the new style Dodge pickup came out I was the one of the first to get one of those. Got more comments from that. Also, I almost always got the 'wave' from another dodge owner, kind of like most of the motorcyclists wave to each other then they pass.

Ever since then, I've always waved to the person I pass if I have the same car as them. Just habit, I guess. Most people wave back. Some just look at me like I'm crazy.

Just got my TL Saturday, but so far everyone loves it. I was at my friends body shop yesterday and these two guys were in there getting an estimate done on their car. The entire time they were waiting they were walking around looking at it. I was nice and let them inside it.

Never, and I own the same car you do. CBP TL-S.

People in LA only care about BMWs.

Usually kids are more open with compliments. Older folks just like staring and smiling.

I feel you, Beemers get most of the attention. Although, I get alot of compliments when I pass thru the projects.

I get them from the Autospa down the road. Teenage boys who see high class autos day in and day out. I take their compliments to heart!

I get some every so often, mainly on the exhaust. Usually, from friends of friends who seen it for the first time. Had a girl last night who thought it was awesome.

The rear camera though, always gets compliments. I had guys at Jotech who thought that was fucking badass & these were guys who spent most of their time working on GT-R's.

I get lotsa love! Never from younger people (in my age group) it's always older guys like 25+.

I agree with Biggi, I like poeple complimenting on my stuff that know what they are talking about, or people that really care anyway

Every now and then I will get comments about the exterior, but once someone steps inside the TL, they just fall in love with the interior. And their jaws drop once I show them the voice controls/HFL. It's amazing how Acura crammed so much technology in a car starting in 2004.

..Oh, and it doesn't scream "I'm made of money/I come from money", which I like.

I got in my car one day and from the rear view mirror I could see this lady starring at the car. I backed up and she continued starring. Then she walked upto me and asked me to roll down my windows. She then told me that my car looks great and started asking me about it. She herself drove a hummer and was drooling over my car. It gave me a smile that lasted for weeks.

So true. I just vacationed in LA (just got back today) and was staying at JW Marriot at LA Live and all the cars were either a 5/7 series BMW or a range rover.

Almost never in the TL. I practically get mobbed in the other car. They're just too common here. We have tons of Mercedes, BMWs, a couple Ferrari regulars, and at least one Lambo. In my short drive every day I see 2-3 TLs. The base models blend in, the TL-S still stand out. Don't get me wrong, I love the looks of the car and the interior is better than 99% of ANY cars out there regardless of price. My base actually stands out from the crowd just because it's lowered and with wider tires. It does not take much to stand out when every TL is bone stock.

Not that often, but the guys at work think my Type S is a big deal. I get a lot of looks and questions about the Audi style headlights.

I get it a lot as most my friends drive Ford Tauruses, Chevy Cobalts, etc. And I get some looks when I get out of my car in a busy parking lot. Especially at night- the TL puts on quite a light show.

So far, in the few months I've owned the 07 TL-S, only my brothers, cousins and their girlfriends have commented. But, the base TLs are very common here. Saw 4 of them stopped at a light on the drive home today!

Idk what it is about houston, but there's acuras everywhere, so I don't usually get many props unless the person is familiar enough to recognize that it's a type s..most looks/comments come from fellow acura owners

But hey, sometimes the look says enough, which works for me! haha

I never see any Acuras in Houston. I see trucks, civics, and Toyotas/Hondas. I live in Katy and commute N, W, and S Houston daily.

TLs are pretty common here too. I usually get complimented on how the interior is always neat and tidy. A couple of girls feel the color too (AM).

same in my area. seems like everyone drives a TL and the parking lot at work has bmws, mercedes, lexus, aston martins, audis, ferraris in it everday so my car gets zero attention. it's what i get for working in the most affluent area of Dallas.

^^Ya when people see it's a stick shift, they always put more attention and then realize I have brembos in front....then when I say I got a Mac Mini in the glove box, they wanna get in and see how it's possible and they get surprised on the OEM look... lol

Gotta love my TL :P

I did forget when mine was still new I pulled up to a redneck bar. Two hot but trashy girls said "finally someone with money". I laughed but blew them off. My drunk friend later convinced them they could ride but only if they were naked. That was quite the experience driving around with untinted windows and a naked chick in the passenger seat and rear seat.

There are a lot of wealthy suburbs where I live. TL's are very common around here, so no one really notices them.

Fine by me. Less likely to be stolen for a joyride.

I get a lot of compliments on mine but I think it's the color that grabs attention. There are 3 other 3G Type-S's in my area (CBP, MRP, NBP) but KBP stands out a bit more.

I got love twice & in L.A. Once outside my work office, some guy stopped to take pix of my car. Said he's been wanting a TL for awhile, but just been waiting for the price to go down to afford one. The second time on my way to work, driving down the 10 freeway, I was driving by a benz caravan on there way to a meet, I'm guessing. After checking out some of these cars, their photographer starts taking pics of my car. I got props from both the photographer & some of the drivers. Gotta love the TL!!
