I was wondering:

1. How many people have a creaking/popping center console when applying brakes or accelerating?

2. Was anyone able to locate and solve the problem?

Any feedback would be appreciated. I bought my TL a week ago and it's making abnormal cracking noises. This was okay for awhile but now this is starting to suck. I'm also searching through the threads for answers. Thanks.

 

do you have a manual of auto. If auto drive around with two fingers on the gate plate for the shifter, if it's coming from there you will feel it cracking while you hear it. I fixed by shoving some teflone tape all around the gate plate in that thin crevice.
