Problem finding atf drain bolt!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, I followed this thread pretty well..
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/rr-journals-atf-drain-refill-3g-garage-c-012-a-556044/
I moved the splash gaurd, and found a blot that "seems" corret (drain bolt). It was marked with blue, but theres 2 problems, 1 its not golden color (as mention in the DIY thread) and it is a 3/8" drive instead of a 1/2" drive (as mentiond in the DIY thread) I already drained it and it looked like it was red once in its life. Is there a reason why mine isnt the same as listed in the DIY thread? is it possible that it IS different and I DID drain the correct plug? or did I just drain something wrong? LOL

drain plug
hey man i just did mine a couple of weeks ago and i just used a 3/8 drive ratchet with no socket on stuck that in the hole and drained my trans. The bolt is located on the front driver side of the trans in the corner basically, you can't miss it.. I don't know for sure if it was the drain bolt or not but it definately worked for me. go to the links and check out the pics as an example.

dont be surprised when a diy list the wrong tools, people get confused when trying to write about what they have done
Do look right above the trans drain bolt- the one on the driver side of the car says ATF
stamped on the metal engine case- oil will be reddish brown
On the passenger side- that bolt has OIL stamped above it for engine oil
that oil is usually black
The yellow dipstick on the driver side is the trans- the fill hole is a large bolt on top of trans should be marked ATF on the bolt head as well
See owner book for correct procedure of checking fluid level,
my gen2 is freeway cruise 10 minutes -get off freeway, park where flat level and safe- turn engine off- check level
