Exclamation Pricing for TL + Nav in O.C., CA

Hi Everyone,

First post here for me. I am about ready to ditch my 2004 325i (lease is up thank god) and want to buy an '06 TL auto with NAV.

The internet quotes I am getting are around $33150.00 (destination fees included)

Is this good? If not, what are the great deal prices out there in the O.C., L.A. area?

I also want to know, would it be better to buy now before the end of the year or just after in mid Jan for the best price?

Thanks in advance,
Dave

Question A lower quote yet...

Actually, I just got another e-mail internet quote for $33,000.00 (inc. dest. fee). Is this good enough or do you think I can still get better?
Does anyone know how much they are still making on this deal?

Thanks in advance again!

Dave

As a comparison I recently paid just shy of 33,700 (inc. dest. fee) for mine. The price was actually good for the Phoenix area as the other Acura dealers were sticking closer to MSRP for the 06s. They even threw in the wheel locks

Ask for the OTD price... Don't negotiate on anything else because they can always hit you with hidden fees...

Question End of year or new year purchase

Cool. Thanks for the info guys. I will take that into consideration. I will make sure to askr for the OTD price. If anything, it will make them do more work and 'invest' more time into the deal so they will be a little more motivated to try to work out a sale.

My other question is if it is better to buy (deal wise) before the end of the year or after the first of the year (end of Jan). The reason I am asking is because the lease on my other car is up at the end of Jan but if I can get a better deal in Dec than Jan for a TL to the point where it will offset the cost of paying for two cars for a month ($300 for the old car), I will buy now. If the pricing difference will not be that different, then I will wait.

Thanks again,
Dave

I wouldn't settle for anything more than invoice. Every dealer I've talked to in So Cal said they're going for invoice or below. They're really trying to push them out this month. This was when I went shopping for my TSX, which I bought.

Try the Santa Monica Dealership

I to this email from yesterday. I recently got a TL no nav from them. Excellent salesperson by the name of LEwis Cureton. However, you have to start by making
an internet request. The manager John Collis or Julio will respond.

We have received notice from our OWNER to Meet or Beat Any internet quote from now till the end of the month!
What this means to you is SAVINGS!
If you have received a lower quote than ours in writing we will BEAT it !!
This is the ONLY time we will offer this amazing deal.
Please contact us ASAP as inventory levels and selection will become low with a offer like this.

Smile latest pricing

Ok, so here I am now with pricing. I called several more dealerships in L.A., Riverside and O.C. and now the lowest price I have is 31,900.00 including dest fees. OTD price is the upper 34k. So, from what I have seen, that is a good notch below invoice. What do you guys think about this pricing? Should I be happy with this price or will it be a real pain in the ass and too time consuming to get just a little more off?

IMO OTD for under 35 for a TL with Navi is a very good price. It gets to the point is 200.00 really worth the hassle? I would jump on the deal. JMO

Unhappy went to buy today but alas...scratches

Well, I went down to buy the car today from the dealer for a little under 32k (Inc. dest). We had all the paperwork filled out and the car was being prepped for me and we were close to signing on the dotted line when the porter came in and alerted us to the fact there was some damage to the front bumper. The car had 2 miles on it and it looked like the semi driver pulled the car off the carrier too fast and it scraped something. There were about 50-60 two inch scratches about fifteen inches wide total across the bottom of the bumper (painted part). So the deal for that car fell through. We are waiting for the next shipment to come in sometime in the first half of January to close the deal. He said same price, same everything as this deal was for. I was bummed out but hopefully everything works out the next time around.

walk into the dealership on 31 december and make them an offer and tell them you are ready to buy as long as they don't try to jerk you around.

i bought my 06 on 31 october and everything went like clockwork.

$31,900 for an 06 Navi is not bad. Obviously if you the out the door price includes lots of weird documentation and advertising fees that would be wrong, but $31,900 is a good deal. These are desirable cars, unlike most GM or Ford cars, and will keep their value well.

I'm from the Portland, OR area and the best price that I've been able to find for a 2006 TL Automatic and Nav on the West Coast is $32,795 at Thomas Acura. This includes destination, wheel locks, paint polish (whatever that is!), and splash guards at no extra cost. This is going through the Acura get-a-price link thing on their website. It's more than $1000 less than I can get one for up here in the NW.

Davinlei - what dealer are you getting the $31,900 price at?

Well, I have not actually purchased the TL yet. They estimate the delivery date will be this Saturday. Having them quote the price and actually driving away at that price are two different things. I will be more than happy to give out the name of the dealership and dealer once they fulfill their promise of $31999.00 (inc.dest) to me. I just don't want to give them business if what they say is not actually true.
