Dearlers have monthly quotas to reach as well as kickers for selling X number of vehicles during the month.
So lets say's its April 29th and the dealership is 3 TL's short of hitting a sales number that will get them an extra $15k bonus from Acura this month.
Its worth it for them to come down an extra thousand or two than they normally would if it means they can sell those last three cars and pick up the bonus.
Also, dealerships are charges inventory carrying costs every month the car sits on the lot. So if they move the car before the end of the month they can avoid that charge.
My dealer was definately more willing to work with me on the numbers towards the end of the month. What I did was start going to the dealer at the beginning of the month and kept negotiating and holding them off towards the last week of the month.
Does this end-of-month reward for dealers apply to new, yet to be built vehicles as well? If so, do they consider the time of purchase to be when you place the order and deposit or when you pick up your vehicle and pay the full price? Thanks.

If you walked in today and "ordered" a TL that's coming in next month you aren't going to get a good deal because they won't get the sales credit until they actually deliver the car.
