Pricing the 07 TL

Gonna go shopping for a 07 TL later today, what do you guys do for research and when to know to accept the offer for the price?

Looking at edmunds for a base 07 TL with nav including destination
MSRP = 36,795
Invoice = 33,807
What Others Are Paying = 32,995

Theres also a cash to dealer of $2500

so 32,995 - 2,500 = 30,495 + 2,470 (8.1% tax) + 457 (1.5% title and license) = 33,422 Out The Door good?

Could i possibly get it for even less since the 08 models are already out and they are trying to get rid of the leftover 07?

Any help would be great, hope it wasn't too confusing

I was quoted the same price from a local dealer.

33k for the following
2007 TL Type S
Black / Black
6mt
Aspec kit
Carbon Fiber trim/steering wheels
Navi
Sports wheel

MSRP 38k or something like that.
They are having a special right now. As for 2008, they don't have any in stock with the specs above.

I'll advise you again to check the 3G Garage for alot of useful info. The search button is very useful as well. There are tons of threads on 07 pricing.

I have a feeling you'll start a thread on this so I'll just go ahead and post the link for you:

recent 07 TL purchase

I can see you have the Edmunds pricing. I used the same numbers to start my negotiations. I ended up with 31,700 (silver/Ebony 2007 with Nav, splash guards, wheel locks, trunk tray, door trim...all thrown in). This in north cal. I feel I could have pushed for lesser (31,000-31,200) had I not made a tactical mistake during the haggle.

Be ready to settle for a color if its 2007 ( I did). There aren't too many around. The dealers that move more cars are buying 07's from lother dealers (bakersfield, Riverside et al) and selling it. Also make sure that the miles are low (<20). They tried to push a 200 mile car on me and I said nice try...

Just in case, the best rate I was quoted for 2008 w/ Navi was $33,400. Enjoy...

were you quoted 31,700 before taxes, title license or was this out the door price?

I wish it was the "out the door" price. Tax and license made my OTD 34,600...

I was quoted $31,200 for a price for a TL with Nav. It was the last one on the lot - wheel locks, all season floor mats.

been visiting two dealerships, and they have both come to about the same price. 33,100 and 33,000 out the door. thats about a sales price of 29,900. Both cars pretty much had the same dealer installed accessories such as trunk tray, wheel locks, side molding (which i dont want but cant take off) and some other bullshit stuff. Good deal? Oh yeah, both of these dont have nav

$29.9 seems ok for the non-nav. If you do end up getting one with the side-molding, you could take them off yourself.

im about to buy a 07 Acura TL type S today from a private seller, it has about 10k miles on it and his asking for $ 29500 is that good. I been in the market for the TL for about 3 months now and so far this is the best one. Im ready to make the transactions today so if anybody got some input, please feel free to share your opinion!

jay3102...it depends on where you're located...someone on the board here was offered an almost identical spec'd car, used 07 Type-S 13k miles for $28999 from a dealer...which was a great price...If you could get it down to $29000 it seems like a good deal

Reallly...if I recall correctly, CA prices on the new TL's were actually lower then over here on east coast...I could of sworn reading posts by people from the SoCal area saying they bought a new 07 TL-S (when the 08s came out) for around 33-34k

haha...never rely on KBB for used car pricing, let alone new car "going prices"
