Is this price good on a TL Non-NAV

I know this is asked alot but I wanted to get some updated prices. The best deal the dealer will give me is the following...

2004 Acura TL Black/Quartz Automatic - NON-NAV This is the color combo I am leaning towards but the dealer said he could get me whatever color combo I wanted.

Price - $31990
Tax (3%) - $960
Fees - $380

Out the door - $33,330

It seems like I have been reading about better deals than this.

I am located in Raleigh, NC so if anyone in this area can also comment that would be much appreciated.

If my memory is correct, Non-Navi MSRP is $32,650 and Invoice is around 29,755.

IMHO, I guess Non-Navi is still deserved a little more discount at this moment. Your price seems to only have $660 discount, and might try to bargain more.

So it looks like you paid the following if I do some reverse math.

$30700 for car and the extras
$1842 tax
$400 fee (title/license/doc fee)

I would do that in a flash if I could find it around here and I don't even want the extra's that you got thrown in. I would take them if they would give them to me but I would take the car with the protection package for $30700 plus 3% tax plus $300-$400 fee for an out the door price of $32,000. I guess I need to keep trying.

Got a $1200 discount, plus free HPTs from Flow Acura in Winston-Salem back in November on a NBP 6MT, discount may be more now.

Call Mark there and ask him for his best price.

Second best offer I got was from Performance in Chapel Hill.

Leith in Raleigh did not want to deal.

I have mine on order from Flow Motors, they gave me a discount of $1,500 on a 6MT/Navi when I first asked for a quote and I ended up with a bigger discount than that. I dealt with Don Calhoun, and had them beat another bid I got from FL.

Appears to be about an average deal. If he buys it in SC but lives in NC he has ZERO SC taxes to pay (Yahoo!) BUT then when he registers it in NC he get the "opportunity" to pay the required NC taxes ($1,200 or so on a $30K car). Others (Ocean of NJ) are paying $30,500 for the same car. Then add taxes, etc...

Dont' come out west for your car. In Colorado we are getting taken and there isn't much we can do about it. I paid $32,126 + $369 dealer fee + tax. Total was about $34,022 out the door for a non navi. I could have saved about $400 at another dealer but they couldn't deliver until end of June and I picked mine up on 5/10. I think most in Colorado are paying about the same.

Out the door is different in every state because of differing tax rates. Also if a trade is involved, it invalidates any comparison of the selling price since the dealer can easily make up for a "skinny deal" by hosing you on the trade-in. Best to compare price of the car before TTL.

My own deal was pretty good, definitely not great by East Coast standards:

In Los Angeles area last week, 5AT non-navi SSM/ebony, $31299 plus protection package ($290 for mud guards, trunk tray, all-season mats and wheel locks) for total price of $31589 plus TTL. (Out the door was $34509, but again, that number is only useful to other people in L.A. County.) The cool thing is, I got 2.9% financing for 60 months. That alone is worth about a grand, but you need top-tier credit to qualify.

In closing--yippee!! I LOVE MY TL!!!!

I got right about $34k OTD. Of course that is with 6% sales tax, not 3%. Not sure why every place else has a low tax rate.
