I went to the local Acura dealer today to schedule an oil change appt and walked around the lot to look at the Type S'. By the way this small dealer must of had atleast 10 of them all different colors interior and exterior. I noticed on the sticker most were 38,795 but a couple were 38,995. I didn't go through every single listing on the sticker but what would cost $200 more than another. Both were 5AT. Any ideas? Maybe mudflaps or something, now that I think of it, it could have been that, trunk liner, all season mats etc.

I think it's the high performance tires that account for the $200 difference.

I got the following price quote from a local dealer for a NBP/Ebony 07 TL-S.

"Price of $ 35,935.00 which includes destination, doc fee, as well as splash guards $137, wheel locks $97,and floor mats $144. All included in the price."

Sounds like a pretty good deal. May pull the trigger on this one soon.

Invoice for the 07 Type S is $35,444, so the quote they gave me of $35,975 is only $531 over invoice. Plus the price also includes destination, doc fee, splash guards, wheel locks, and floor mats. I would say, with the doc fee and extras the price is fairly close to invoice.

They offered $13,700 for my 2002 TL-S non navi TL-S with 56k miles. The car is in excellent condition. My brother said he may want to buy, so I may sell it to him. Acura is also offering 4.9% financing for 60 months. Now I just need to decide if I want a car payment again, since my '02 is paid off.

Do you guys think the '07 TL-S is that much better than the '02 TL-S?

Been a long time lurker and now I am thinking about getting a Type-S.

Here is the quote you requested for your New 2007 Acura TL.

With Navigation
MSRP: $36,795
Your Price: $33,650*
Savings: $3,145!

Type-S
MSRP: $38,795
Your Price: $35,650*
Savings: $3,145!

Price includes destination.

I got this from an internet quote from a dealership in the Bay Area. PM me if you wanna know who I got this email from.

Wow, I can't believe the quotes you guys are getting.

Both dealerships here in Orlando will barely come down from MSRP. For an '07 TL-S one dealer quoted me $38,300 (w/ pro pack) and the other dealer quoted $38,495.

Also, I can only get $27,000 & $27,700 for my '06 TL auto w/navi.

Received an email reply from one of the Orlando dealers after I stated that some dealers around the country are selling for $500 over invoice, he wants me to come down to the dealership and haggle. So much for straight-forward internet pricing, atleast here in Orlando, FL.

Well now I am kinda on the fence about getting a TL-S. I just saw the color combo that I thought I wanted Blue/Black and quite honestly, it didn't knock my socks off like I thought it would. There are a few things that I don't really care for that are exclusive to the TL-S so I'm not sure about getting one now.
The signals on the mirrors look like a Pep boys add on. I don't like the smoked out marker lamps on sides in front and rear. The wheels don't do the car any real favors, the blue wasn't as dark as I was hoping it to be. I still can't get a solid answer on a price for one that is tempting enough for me to trade in my current 04 either.
I'm now beginning to look at other brands all together to see what other cars are in the same price bracket that appeal to me a little more.
Sad too, because I really was looking forward to a new one. I guess I need to drive one and see if there is any real difference between mine and new.

That sounds like a good deal to me! It's getting very hard waiting for my 04 TL lease to be up in June!

I don't want to do the cheesy salesman thing, but if anyone's looking for a TL Type S I do have one or two that have been on the lot for a little bit that we would definately be willing to let go of cheep. (Amount over invoice vs. Amount under Sticker.)

We do have a $599 Doc in Nevada I have to charge, but we can usually make it worth buying from us.

Plus, it's a good excuse to come to Vegas.

The dealers in San Diego will not get even close to the prices you can get in Orange County, when I bought my 06 they were thousands apart and would not budge, thats why they are still sitting on them! ha The only dealer close to SD that will perhaps deal would be Temecula since they are a part of the big DCH family.

The dealership here in charlotte will only come off only $600. Thats crazy. They have 6 type-s right now and 1 that has been there since they started getting the shipments. So I don't know how to go about getting a cheaper deal. It's not like there is that many around here within 300 miles.

Assuming that price included the destination charge, that is an outstanding price. Congrats!!

Would you mind telling me what dealership/salesman? I'm over in Falls Church and would appreciate the input.

Thanx in advance.

What other charges were added to this price, (other than tax and I assume that price included destination) like dealer fees, admin fees, ect?

This was the bottom line price + $99 dealer processing fees and tax, tags, etc. they were gonna screw me on the trade though - I have a 04 accord EX coupe and they offered only 11k for it.... so didn't trade my old car in. trying to sell myself now.
anyhow - its Tischer Acura in Laurel. Ask for Gordon Kimbell, one of the best salesman I've worked with. very professional and not sleezy. if you guys end up going there, tell him that Anton referred you all. good luck!
