TL-S is not worth the price. IMO. Get 07 G35 or IS350 if your gonna pay sticker for TL-S.

Invoice with Destination included is $35,444.10

If Jay_Hawk got 1k over invoice, that is a fabulous deal. Probably means one of two things
1: Has a great history with the Dealer and Sales Consultant
2: is a Professional Poker Player

I'm currently in the market for a (color not decided yet) 6spd TL-s with Ebony/Silver interior so this definitely helps in my negotiations.

Not to get off topic but what do you guys think of the Kinetic Blue Pearl? Just curious.

I laughed when I read this...
1) My mother-in-law bought a car from the same guy 6 months ago and drove the guy crazy. I didn't even bargain, he just said he needed $1k over invoice (took 5 minutes). I wouldn't call it a great history, but an annoying one that I walked into.
2) I play poker professionally

3) The dealer had every color combination imaginable in stock (multiple actually). He had the inventory, and had no problem moving it
4) I showed complete indifference between the Lexus/Infinity/Acura, and conveyed the point that if he didn't give me a good deal, he lost a sale. It was easy to be indifferent when I actually was. Now that I bought the car, I feel I made the right decision.
5) You nailed the invoice price to the penny. He didn't show it to me, but that is what he told me, and I took his word for it.

I liked the Blue, my wife liked the Bronze. I lost the argument (current car was blue). The dealer said the bronze was new for this year... Not sure if you care if your car is different than other ones out there.

I am pretty indifferent to the models as well. I like them all, they pretty much appeal to me in some way. Right now it's a matter of price and which dealer is ready to move. What suprised me is all three dealers came back and agreed to the price I am willing to pay. So it's making my decision difficult .

As for the colors when I first saw the CBP I was pretty much sold on the color I wanted. I thought the Taupe interior would be a nice contrast but I hoop to much and afraid of getting the interior dirty. The KBP caught my eye since my current car is a Fiji Blue 06 SI, and thought it had some potential.

Will see shortly, gotta mull over the choices with the wifey... Hopefully I will be rolling in something before the end of the month....

Tl-s

I just picked up my new TLS, I can't really enjoy it because it is raining like cats and dog in New York. So far I noticed the steering is a little bit tighter, the seats is going to take time to get use too. I picked up my vehicle at 2:30pm today, the vehicle had 6 miles on it, the car went straight to Sam's tint to have 20% put on the vehicle. I felt sad leaving my 2005 Auto with Navi there. (Vanessa) my car name was looking sick after I left her, I hope i will enjoy the TLS.

I'm seeing a few hundred dollars off MSRP in the L.A. area as well on carsdirect. Dealers can usually go a few hundred lower than that and it gives me a good starting point for negotiation.

I bought my TSX using the AAA / Costco price as a starting point, which is lower than carsdirect. I told the dealer "I'm buying today for xxx dollars." He told me that he'll check with his boss and call me back. After receiving his call 5 minutes later we sealed the deal.

In the end, I ended up getting about $100 off the AAA price.

Does anyone know what the AAA or Costco price is for a TL-S in the L.A. area? I don't want to get bombarded with call from dealers since I'm not "seriously" looking

Although I'd love to have a TL-S, the monthly payment and insurance is a pipe dream for me.

Hey, I'm in AZ. I got my '05 from Acura of Tempe 11/04. I got the lease and the salesman said I got a really good price. I sold my house May '05 and had enough extra to pay off the lease. Where did you get yours? I'm considering going back to Acura of Tempe but if your salesman is better, let me know.

Thanks!

Acura North Scottsdale, sales person's name is Lou. He takes care of the internet sales from their web site. If you speak with him....tell him Rob referred you (I've bought 3 cars from him and referred 2 others).

Is $37,444 a good price for a TL-S 2007 Carbon Bronze Pearl. What have you all been paying. Can I get a better deal if I keep searching? Thanks

I paid sticker for an S, 6-speed ($38.9K w/ destination, arrives in December). The dealership claimed that Acura ordered no price negotiation.

Seems my only negotiation card was my trade in. I brought along the Kelly BB Trade In price for my '01 Corolla (Kelly reported $7.8K for a car in excellent shape, which mine was). Initially the dealer offered $6K and ultimately we settled on $7.5K.

Oh well. Its only money.

Which North Chicago dealership did you get your car from? I got my '06 non-Navi TL from McGrath in Morton Grove and will be going back to next week to deal on an '07 TL-S. Is this the same dealership? Cuz I think that's a pretty good price, along with the fact my salesperson told me starting next Wednesday, Acura will be offering 4.9% financing for up to 5 years.

Thanks

Yes, that deal was from Morton Grove. He mentioned it on another thread, actually he didn't say the dealers name more so the location that tipped me off.

Can anyone confirm the 4.9%?

That makes things interesting I say, my car is coming in Next Saturday and that would be good to know if it's true.

Holy crap about 39,000 for the S... There are many other products to choose from at that price point. Add extended warranty and all and well you are in the 40K + bracket. I know its packed with many features, but the G35 is that price. The audi 3.2 A4 is in that bracket as well. I know the 3 series is now up in the mid 40s range, but if you can afford 40K then you should look at the other cars.

I have driven all those cars and decided to go with a german product this time around. The interiuor fit and finished were much better and while the performance might not be quite the same for the A4 but its a different kind of ride and it performs fairly well. No not the BMW. The audi folks were will to deal (300 over invoice) where the acura folks were looking to get invoice.

If you get 1000 over invoice from acura that is about the most they will deal at least in my area and with a hot model.

Hi everyone, I picked up my TL-S for $36,944.

Invoice = $34,774
Destination = $670
Invoice + Destination = $35,444.

My price = $1500 over invoice. I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area - got the car from Los Gatos Acura. Everyone there was really awesome. Bonnie Ericsson is the internet manager.

Other than the report of $1,000 over invoice in the Chicago area (which is actually closer to $1250 over) and what I suspect is an erroneous report re: South Coast Acura (I'll bet it's for a regular TL and not a Type-S), I haven't seen many lower than this.

Hello. I just ordered an Alibaster Type S for $35,695 (destination included) + TTL from Ardmore Acura in PA. There are deals out there to be had. I did the email method. Sent an email to about 15 dealers, stating that I am aware of the invoice price and that there is a 3% holdback as well. Said whomever gives me the better deal gets my business. In all honesty, it was Apple Acura who provided a quote for $35,795 however they needed the deal closed by Thursday. Ardmore has a price match guarantee, so they beat it by $100 without that stipulation to finish the deal in a week. The Ardmore dealer was shocked at the quote and said that it was very aggresive. PM me if you want both the salesmans names.

In that regard, there are alot of dealers in New Jersey that are ready to deal. I received very good quotes from some dealers there as well. Delaware and Maryland .... it was a no go.

Morton Grove offered me 31500 (Base + Destination) + TTL for TL 3.2

they are currently offering
3.99% for 36 months
4.99% for 60 months

Seems like quite good deal. But i'm still double minded between 3.2 and S

Actually no, the difference is internal. The K&N would fit. I ordered the AEM CAI for my S and it fit fine. It was for the 04-06 TL 3.2. Fits perfect.

"I suspect is an erroneous report re: South Coast Acura"

What makes you think that it was an erroneous report? Did you see the pictures that I posted? Does my car look like a regular TL to you. Maybe you should do your homework and look around the forums a bit before posting. I could really care less what you got your car for or whether or not you believe that I got mine for $36K. All that matters is that you're happy with the deal you got period.
Having said that you could have done better especially since I did not have to pay for the wheel locks, trunk tray and splash guards which brings my price close to $200 over invoice.

I got a 07 TLS at Keys Acura in Van Nuys, CA for 36k + t/l. Got the quote over the internet. Great Car! Black w/ silver/black interior & AT. Car came with the summer tires (I didn't really want them but they do grip). Didn't get the trunk tray but they threw in the locks and splash guards. Had lojack installed for 562. Window tinting was 225 and the clear bra was 550.

You got a nice package. I talked to the guys at Keyes Acura also and they offered $36K as well. In the end I bought at South Coast and did not make the trek up to LA. Where did you get your clear bra installed? Do you like the way it looks? Maybe you can post a couple of pics. I'm getting the windows tinted Saturday at Best Window Tinting for $190 and I'm trying to figure out what to do about the clear bra.

I emailed a few dealers and didn't get a single reply back.
I told them I wanted to pay ~$36k plus TTT and nobody bit. I've got 2 offers locally for $36700 including dest but not TTT. I haven't decided if I want to bother with traveling out of state or a long distance just for the chance of saving a couple of hundred dollars.

I guess I stand corrected. And it does seem to vary by locale. As far as I know, nobody has been able to get SoCal type prices up here in NoCal. BTW, I also got the mats and wheel locks, etc. for that price, so the difference between SoCal and NoCal is less than $1000, but still, every dollar counts.

Not Mike Harvey, but to tell you the truth, I just got lazy and ruled out anything not on the Peninsula or in SV. If you get a lower price from Serramonte, Concord or Oakland, definitely post.

Yeah, I got 12 replies out of the 20 I sent and a few phone calls. All the dealers were within a 3 hour drive. Like I said, no one in Maryland was budging so the extra drive saved me thousands. I got "I'm not interested in a bidding war now, for I can sell at Sticker" to "We are in a hot market and can easily sell the Type S for more than Sticker". I'm told that some people use their out of state quote to get a match local, so keep that in mind. The dealership I chose is about 2 hours away, so I didn't mind the drive.

I work for a company that owns one of the two Acura dealerships in town. They have both quoted the same price. Although I think the one that we don't own gave the same price not including destination whereas ours did.
I'm getting different figures on exactly how much destination actually is though. I've heard anywhere from $399-$750.
I know someone that bought one with the HPT and he paid $36100 for it. Not including TTT though. That sounds like a good price to me.
