The other day i was sitting in my car waiting for my brother to come out of a store and my window lock was on. I attempted to wind the windown down, but it didnt move (becauase the window lock was on) but i heard the idle of the car make a different sound, sort of like when u put the AC on. I did it over and over again, finding it weird that the windows would put such a strain on the cars idle.

I just found it weird .. has anyone else experienced this?

BTW my radio was off and it was pretty quiet outside, thats how i picked up on it.

 

Yup, no big deal, other cars do it too. It's the draw from the alternator. My RX-7 has a voltmeter in the instrument pod and I can see the needle drop by a minute amount when I hit the windows. I assume the TL is the same.

 

Yea I can hear it too, but its not as noticeable like the A/C coming on
