Premium gas only - anyone using anything else then 91 octane?

Premium gas only - anyone using anything else then 91 octane?

My last Honda (Prelude SH) took premium only and thats what i used, anyone using anything less then premium on their TLs?are there any long term issues - im sure the performance may be impacted a bit.

I generally use 89 and havn't seen any problems w/ performance.

Performance is IMMEDIATELY affected, and the computer will retard the timing, therefore reducing the HP available.

Long-term, yes, there will be ramifications.

I always have and always will use premium. You're not "saving" any money, really, by using lower octane fuel. There are PLENTY of threads all over the place, both on this forum and off of it, to back prove my point.

i myself had a 5th gen prelude before my tl and i have always use 91 octane in my tl. for my prelude i had always used 91 except once where i wanted to see the differnce and opt for 87 just to see. and there was a huge difference in power.....
