If your TL has a transmission issue-get out of it, no matter what color it is. Let the bad transmission be the dealership's problem.

SSM. You said post pics-

Nuff said. SSM doesn't look dirty 5 minutes after washing it like NBP does and SSM seems to be sexier and less common than the black.

^^ that ssm looks really good w/ aspec kit. I will tell you from experience a ssm will not need alot of washing, it will look fine almost year round except for the wheels. BUT, it will not have the shine of a darker color.

- about the transmission issue i would trade but get a warranty on the new car.

Just my

i was wondering the same thing, or is it also because you don't change the transmission fluid on time?

If you don't have to pay any more money for the SSM, I say go for it.

SSM was originally my least desired color, but after picking up my '06, the color has grown on me day by day. +1 for the comment on the clean look it retains -- I have yet to wash my car after purchasing it back in October, and it has never looked dirty!

I got a Black one. But i would probably like to have a silver one more though.. If no issues with new car and lower mileage car i'd go for it.

Lets see the spoiler is ~$200. Caliper paint ~$20. Tint ~$200. It isn't that much. Trade ASAP.

At least you didn't spend money on a drop or wheels yet then there would be some more to thing about but since you only did those mods, give it back.

I used to be a big fan of black, but I just ran across silver by chance on this one and it has turned out to be a much easier color to live with. Look, you can hardly see any snow on it at all.

There is something in this story that is missing. No dealer will just exchange you a car that you purchased and drove off the lot, and then later return saying that there is a transmission issue (which we later discover is an 04 model). Warranty will be an issue since it is out of standard warranty.

Why would they just do an even trade for a vehicle that has 15K less miles, which will have a higher value than the one you purchased???

What is the OP leaving out?

BTW: NBP FTW!!!!! SSM is for those who don't want to take the time to clean/maintain it

Silver TLs with the A-Spec kit look good becuase they show all the lines, and shadows.
But the black TLs look sexy WHEN CLEAN.
