Premium Air Filter

In case anyone is interested, there is a high quality air filter made for the TL. Unlike the stock filter, this one has activated carbon, and a static charge to remove smaller particles and odors. It's almost HEPA quality, and does a much better job keeping the air clean and fresh than the louzy filter Acura uses. It's available from "ATP" www.atp-inc.com

Sorry, I just took the website address from their catalog of air filters. They have the activated carbon filter for the 2004 TL listed in their catalog dated June 2004. I don't have a more recent catalog, but I'm sure the '04 filter would fit in a '05TL. It's a great filter and works far better than the one Acura sells. The catalog number is IVC-04. They also sell another product called "Clean'NCoat" which is designed to be sprayed into the evaporator case to clean the cooling coil and then coat it to eliminate the "dirty sock" odor. It's a little pricy and isn't a consumer product...it's for shops to use and the can obviously contains more product than an individual could ever use in a lifetime.

The TL's filter is a high flow, high efficiency filter so essentially all aftermarket products will not make any difference, consider another toy for your hot ride .
