So hopefully I'm getting close to purchasing a TL, I wanted to know what I should be asking for before signing the papers and driving off. I'm not talking about title or carfax, I'm talking more along the lines of radio codes, wheel locks and keys.

From what I know, the TL's came with 2 keys + keyfobs, in addition to one valet key. What about the radio code? Everytime my mom's MDX loses power or whatever it's a pain in the ass because only she remembers it

 

The radio code should be written on one of the pamphlets that come with the owner's manual in the glove box.

Also check in the trunk to make sure that the key for the locking wheel nuts is not missing.

 

Radio code card is a white plastic card the size of a credit card. I believe there should be a 5 digit radio code and also the serial #.

You should get a white plastic key number tag in case you need to get a lost key replaced.

Of course, owner's manual, warranty booklet if the car is still under warranty, quick start guide booklet and any maintenance records.
