Power Windows become disabled
This seems a bit odd.
Stop, turn off the engine but leave the key in the ignition (like when you want to listen to the radio).
The power windows work.
Open and close the driver's door.
Now the power windows are disabled.
Why?

This is explained in the owner's manual on page 99 (for the 04TL).
The windows will operate for 10 minutes after you turn off the ignition, or until you open a door.
Possibly a safety feature, so if you leave the kids in the car they can't play with the windows, or something like that.
