Post Break-In RPM

I've passed the eagerly awaited 600 mile break-in period. With auto trans, I'm wondering if it now makes sense to use the sport shifter to gradually increase and then sustain the RPMs--say in the 4k to 5.5 k range. I'm not suggesting doing all my driving like that..but occasionally. Would this approach be better for the future of the engine? In regular drive mode, it only gets to that RPM range for short bursts when you accelerate.

for fuel economy its not recommended to keep it at those rpms. i dun see anything wrong with it but if you want to get some better mpg then i would let the auto tranny do its thing.
