possible full body kit availability in 2005?

to make a long story short, by friend who is creating the wheel company is also going to do a kit for the 04 TL, the wheel specs on the site have been altered to accomodate the new TL also. I think he's planning on getting into one in 2005. anyway here's a concept of the kit, it's gonna be developed quite extensively, so I don't know when exactly in 2005 it will come out. he already said he's gonna go with a full front and rear bumper replacement which is different from the image. but the sides and rear are going to be similar to below. what do you guys think?

oh, he's def doing a group buy, maybe even just offering a lower price for board members, he's gotten great support from the boards before this whole thing started and he's also gotten dozens of responses, so he'll offer a good discount. by the way, he's trying to make the kit look like acura would have done it, to maintain a sence of class. don't take the picture litterally, it's still a concept.

Looks interesting. My question is how will the kit affect downforce and Cd? The factory kit improves the Cd from 0.29 to 0.28 and reduces lift by 0.088.

Any plans to wind tunnel test this kit?

Looks really sweet and I'm not a big fan of underbody kits, which is why I didn't get one.

wid tunnel tests are about $20,000 or more per hour and that's even if you can access one. Nascar, lockheed martin, and major automotive manufacterers are the only companies that can afford to use them, especially one large enough to test a whole car!. I doubt that a wind tunnel test is in the future unless it is made to be more affordable.

yeah right wind tunnel. this is a aftermarket small shop i doubt there will be any testing invloved. if fact it might even raise drag and lift. i never buy after market products unless they are reputable tuners like comptech. even still i've had it with the after market, never fits right and always have to jimmy rig it to fit.

It's called contracting out the part that involves the engineering, but the concept, marketing and distribution is done by the so called small company. the hard part is left up to the experts who have been doing this for many different small companies over the years. That's how all the big companies started out like amg, and comptech, you have to start somewhere. I'd rather buy a company's product who is motivated by shear interest and creativity rather than profit. if profit was the motivation, than he's jump on the bandwagon and produce kits and wheels for many different makes and models and rake it in... but you are entitled to your opinion...

I can't wait to see what new kits will be available for the TL but I feel the one above looks very similiar to the OEM kit but w/the flares extended more compare to the OEM. Honeslty, if I was to buy an aftermarket kit, I would want to have something that looks different compare to the OEM. Otherwise, I would stick to the OEM kit. That is just my opinion tho!! However, I love those rims/low profile tires. What wheels are they and what size??
