I'm thinking of setting up a day where a bunch of local TL's go to one of the local drag strips to have some fun.

How many we got? Who's interested? Maybe we should include forum members that don't have TL's, make it a forum member day.

We've had a group of guys going to the Wisconsin Dragaway or Byron, IL for the past two or three years now. It's a group of guys w/ CL and TL Type S's, Accords (N/A and S/C'd) etc. I'd be interested in track-ing my car once I hit about 1000 miles (i'm at 200 miles on the ODO right now). I took my Type S up to Union Grove at least 3 or 4 times to run it down the strip.

 

Sounds good, about what time of year do they usually go?

 

I'm not interested in running my car on the track, but I'd sure enjoy getting together at one (or anywhere else). My only problem is that I work Sunday afternoons/evenings. Is it doable on a Saturday? If so, I'm in. If not, I'll try to work out a schedule swap and hope for the best.

I'm not looking to beat mt TL, just a few passes, it's not like we'll be getting way different numbers. I hope if you do go you'd be up for a friendly challenge?

All kidding aside, just having a bunch show up would be great. I'm hoping for a Saturday but that's usually when the tracks are busy, we'll see.

 

I'm in depending on the specific weekend. Everyone be on good behavior because I'll have a six-year-old in tow.
