I want to get a portable vacum cleaner for car use only. Any suggestions? I saw one at Sears it was gold but can't remember if it can be used via car power adapter. I t was one of those products "As seen on TV!"

 

Usually aren't too powerful and suck from what I have heard. Give it a try and let us know
You can also search teh web for "as seen on tv" products and lists will pop up. Or Sears website if u saw it there. They do make ones for cars with the 12 adapters. Other option is a cordless one for home that you cna bring out to the car when needed

 

I've got a teeny-tiny ShopVac that's perfect for the job. Long hose and lots of non-abrasive attachments.....huge suction too. Cost me under $40 at WalMart a year ago. Forget the Dustbuster crowd.....get a mini ShopVac:

Depending on how much you want to spend. Griots Garage has a good one that hangs on the wall with an extra long hose for going around the car. Its also used as a blower for water after washings. It has 16 different attachments just made for the car. 185.00

California Car Cover has another wall mounted 3HP with a 12 ft hose for 90.00

 

danno, this is good idea. Since those other no power handy vaccums are almost useless for car interior. They do not pickup anything other than popcorns.
