Normally I wouldn't post this, but I was stopped at a light and a guy with some shades on pull up in a very nice, non-riced out, championship white Integra R in mint shape (pretty rare IMO). He looked over and inched ahead of me at the light. I was going to pull up and tell him he had a nice ride, but the light turned green and he slips the clutch for some wheelspin to take off on me. It was actually the 1st run where I actually felt bad about ripping the other guy. I guess i "paid my homage" to it by not launching on him. It was funny though, as I heard his VTEC butterfly valve open, I left him like he was standing still. Really is no replacement for some good old torque.

Like I said, normally i wouldnt post this, nothing to really brag about. Just have a soft spot for CW ITR's. I lost respect for the guy though after he pulled a ricer-fly by when i slowed down to give him a thumbs up

I'll be honest though, 99% of the time I don't bite; nothing to really prove and why put people at danger for no reason. I can't tell you how many people try to egg me to race when they are clearly slower (even with traffic all around). It blows my mind why some of these people try to pick a race. Sometimes I wonder if they really are delusional and think their car with 1/2 the power or less will win

Ever think that some people just want to play around with a Corvette to see it take off compared to their cars? Its all in fun.

 

^^That's exactly what it is. Had an '03-04 Cobra pull up next to me as we were slowing down for a light and he dropped to first and rocked it a little. Car sounded insane. After the light turned green and we got up to 60, I stayed in 3rd and tried to get him to go, but he wouldn't bite. I had no delusions I'd even stay close, I just wanted to hear that blower scream.

 

I have no illusions about my S2K. It's nice to hear another motor rumble. I'm certainly not in it to 'win' anything.

 

its all good. i once raced a guy with a rhd integra type r in my 07 si needless to say i got waxed like a mofo it just depends who you race some folks kno how to drive and aint scared to step up.

 

That's cool, and I will open it up to entertain some people. But, some people drive like complete jerks, tailgaiting and cutting myself and others off, putting everyone at danger, and that's not cool. I'll throw you the keys sometime and you'd understand.
